With a rose-red silk satin base, silver-gray roses trail along the body's curves, interspersed with gold threads outlining the veins. Under the neon glow of 1960s Hong Kong, this vintage cheongsam, crafted by Hong Kong artisans from Italian imported fabric, unfurls like a visual epic of East-meets-West aesthetics. When walking, the roses ripple on the rose-red background, and the gold threads reflect a magnificent "golden scale shining in the sun" (金鳞映日) luster, a modern variation of the line from the Ode to the Goddess of the Luo River: "Draped in radiant silken robes, adorned with splendid jade jewels."

The rose motifs are full and plump, with layered petals reminiscent of Florentine satin embroidery, yet they are created with a jacquard loom to achieve a three-dimensional texture. The gold threads winding along the leaf veins subtly align with the secret technique described in The Exploitation of the Works of Nature ("brocade weaving involves winding gold threads around silk gauze"), infusing the Western flower with an Oriental nobility. The intense rose-red base is as rich as the "rouge-red skirt" (胭脂红裙) described in Dream of the Red Chamber, creating a cool and warm contrast with the silver-gray roses—a perfect microcosm of the glamour of 1960s Hong Kong as the "Hollywood of the Orient."

The fabric is Italian imported gold brocade jacquard. The rose-red base requires seven distinct plant dyeing processes, while the silver-gray roses and gold threads are created using a hand-operated jacquard loom. Hong Kong tailors, while preserving the traditional cheongsam features of the stand collar and diagonal closure, integrated Western three-dimensional cutting—the darting at the waist and hips allows the cheongsam to fit the body like a second skin. When walking, the skirt hem gently sways, evoking the agility of the "skirt hem sweeping fragrant dust" (裙摆扫香尘) from the History of the Southern Dynasties.
